HOW FIBER OPTIC WORKS

Similarly, fiber to the home is connecting a fiber optic connection directly to the premises of the consumer allowing for much faster and lower latency speeds.

The fourth telco could offer services from April 2017
SINGAPORE — Pushing ahead with plans to draw a fourth telco into the market despite objections by the incumbents, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) on Thursday (Feb 18) announced a lower starting bid price for aspiring new entrants for 60MHz of spectrum up for auction.

10 Dec 2014. IDA fined NetLink Trust (previously Openet) for failing to meet the service quality standard from January - June 2014.
